The 79th annual Delta Mu Sigma Honors Convocation at Penn State DuBois recognized outstanding students, faculty, and staff members on April 20 in the campus' Hiller Auditorium. The event is organized each year by members of the Delta Mu Sigma Honors Society.
A former leader of white supremacist groups, Arno Michaelis, during the Umbaugh Lecture at Penn State DuBois will present his story on how he turned his life around. The event is planned for 12:15 p.m. on Monday, April 23, in the Hiller Auditorium. Made possible by the generosity of Robert and Joyce Umbaugh, the Umbaugh Lecture features a diverse blend of speakers to the campus each year. The lecture is free and open to the public.
Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs (ATOD) Awareness Day was held on campus on Tuesday, April 11. The long-standing tradition among students in the Counselor Education courses at Penn State DuBois aims to educate students about the dangers of substance abuse.
The Penn State DuBois softball team hammered out 16 hits en route to the program's first-ever win by defeating Penn State New Kensington 13-5 on April 10.

Penn State DuBois wildlife technology student Sean Lauer is this year's recipient of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the Wildlife Society's Frank Felbaum Scholarship. The second-year student from York, Pennsylvania, is the only recipient of the Felbaum Award for 2018, as the highly competitive award is given to only one individual each year.
The Penn State DuBois Veterans Club will hold a 5K run and one-mile walk to benefit the club's fund drive for the installation of a campus veterans memorial. The event is planned for April 21 at the Beaver Meadow Walkway in DuBois.
