A Penn State DuBois faculty-and-student team's research, focused on the estate properties of Thomas Edison, Theodore Roosevelt and Frederick Vanderbilt, is aimed at preserving the historic forest as it was when the estate's original owners inhabited these properties.

Kenneth Burkett, executive director of the Jefferson County History Center, will offer a presentation on local attraction called Scripture Rocks at noon April 10 in the campus library at Penn State DuBois. Burkett will present the life story of Douglas Monroe Stahlman, who inscribed biblical passages on the rocks, which are located just outside of Brookville.
The Penn State DuBois baseball team rolled out from campus early Friday morning, March 2, to head to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. This would mark the second straight season DuBois would make the Spring Training trip to the Ripken Experience to play a tough seven games over the course of four days. Penn State DuBois wrestler John Prentice brought home All-American Honors following the National Collegiate Wrestling Association National Championships in Allen, Texas. He and teammate Bryce Hanley both wrestled in the championship. Prentice is a senior making his fourth trip to the National Championships, Hanly, a junior, made his third trip to Texas.
Beginning in 2008, alternative spring break service trips became an annual event for Penn State DuBois students. This year, the campus celebrates 11 years of combating societal ills in communities all around the country. Alternative spring break 2018 saw 10 students travel to Washington, D.C., where they spent their break helping people who are homeless or live in impoverished conditions.
Professionals who are searching for jobs with area companies are invited to attend a career fair at Penn State DuBois on March 28. Employers from more than 50 companies will be on hand, representing career fields that are thriving in Central Pennsylvania, such as human services, business management, engineering, marketing and more.
