Many manufacturing employees must learn to read and work with blueprints as part of their daily job. Those seeking to gain knowledge of blueprint reading and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing have an opportunity to learn this important information during this series of classes.
Starting with the basic blueprint reading skills of identifying and understanding the meaning of the symbols on prints, students will also be taught how to draw basic prints. The 12 hours of Basic and Advanced Blueprint Reading will be a great precursor to the Fundamentals of GD&T.
Basic Blueprint Reading
Acquire a conceptual and practical understanding of manufacturing blueprint reading. Application of the concepts to various measuring techniques will be covered.
Advanced Blueprint Reading
This course is designed to give students a better understanding of how to interpret blueprints and what is required to meet these specifications. It will cover items such as: international drawing methods, section views for specific details, basic blueprint review, review of tolerance limits, powdered metal materials callouts & surface finish. In addition, this course will review basic statistics for capability requirements.
