Penn State DuBois men 'Walk a Mile in Her Shoes'

A group of Penn State DuBois men braved the pouring rain while wearing high heels on Wednesday, Sept. 26, for the annual “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” event. The men's march is meant to raise awareness of the battle against rape, sexual assault, and gender violence, and to get more men involved in the effort.

Bingo Night planned to benefit THON

A Bingo Night is planned at Penn State DuBois to benefit THON, the Penn State Dance Marathon held each February to raise funds to help battle childhood cancer. Bingo Night is planned for 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15, in the Hiller Student Union.

DuBois volleyball opens conference play with win

It was another edge-of-your-seat match for the Penn State DuBois women's volleyball team as it played host to Penn State University Athletic Conference opponent Penn State Beaver on Sept. 13. DuBois won the fourth set 25-17 to take the match 3-1.

Alumni award recipients to be recognized at benefit celebration

Three individuals will be honored for their success, as well as their support for the campus at the Penn State DuBois Alumni Society Alumni Awards Ceremony on October 6. The Alumni Awards program will be part of the Penn State DuBois Benefit Celebration this year, with recognition of recipients preceding a performance by Leonard, Coleman and Blunt, (LCB) the former lead signers of the Temptations, the Platters, and the Drifters.

Retired professor honored for career achievements by Poe Studies Association

One of Penn State DuBois’ retired faculty members continues to receive accolades for his career accomplishments. Distinguished Professor of English Emeritus Richard Kopley was recently presented with the Lifetime Achievement and Service Award by the Poe Studies Association at the 2018 International Poe and Hawthorne Conference in Kyoto, Japan.

DuBois baseball gearing up for 'fall ball'

The 2018 Small College World Series Champion Penn State DuBois baseball team is ready to take the field again for a short “fall ball” season. They’ll kick things off at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 16, as they play host to Jamestown Community College in a doubleheader at Showers Field.
