The Penn State DuBois Baseball Team got their Fall Ball Season underway at home on Sunday, defeating Jamestown Community College in both games of a doubleheader at Showers Field.
After taking game one 9-4, DuBois scored 11 runs in the bottom of the third in the second game, and many of the squad’s freshmen players were able to get on the field for their first collegiate action. DuBois put 13 runs up on the scoreboard, and the pitching staff tossed a combined one hitter to blank Jamestown 13-0 in game two and sweep the doubleheader.
The team is back in action on Sunday September 22, at Showers Field as they host Ohio State-Mansfield in a twin bill beginning at 1:00 p.m.
