Penn State DuBois men's basketball team takes victory in first home game

Coming off of a key win against division 3 Chatham University, the Penn State DuBois men's basketball team had a chance to show off its new team for the first time in front of their home crowd Tuesday night. DuBois welcomed the Wolfpack from Westmoreland Community College for this first home game of the season, claiming an 86-78 win.

Another home win for Penn State DuBois women's basketball

Coach Pat Lewis's Penn State DuBois Lady Lions are coming off a two-game win streak, and won their last game at home this past Tuesday. DuBois would host the Wolfpack from Westmoreland Community College for another tough task on the home floor, coming out on top 83-58.

Personal Care Home Administrator Training available in spring 2020

In a continuing effort to offer training relevant to the area workforce needs, Penn State DuBois Continuing and Community Education will offer the Personal Care Home Administrator Training program in spring 2020. The 100-hour program will prepare graduates to enter a career in administration of long-term personal care facilities.

Penn State DuBois event highlights the latest in assistive technology

Penn State DuBois held an Assistive Technology Fair on Thursday, Nov. 7, hosted jointly by the campus Occupational Therapy Club and the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry's Office of Vocational Rehabilitation. The event featured a dozen vendors from around the area who offer specialized equipment to assist people with special needs in completing tasks around their home, in the classroom, or at work.

25th annual Breakfast with Santa planned at Penn State DuBois

For the 25th year in a row, Santa and Mrs. Claus will once again make a stop at Penn State DuBois this Christmas season for Breakfast with Santa. Timeslots for breakfast will be available between 8 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, in the Hiller Building Student Union. The cost is $4 per person, which benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

DuBois women win home opener

The Lady Lions had their first home basketball game of the season Tuesday as they as they bested the Pioneers of Butler County Community College 84-53. After coming off of a commanding victory on the road this past Saturday, DuBois was looking to give its home crowd a good show.

Presentation on Navajo culture planned at Penn State DuBois

Navajo Cultural Ambassador Lawrence Kaibetoney will speak about Navajo culture, lifestyle and traditions at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, in Hiller Auditorium at Penn State DuBois. As part of the Penn State DuBois Cultural, Performing Arts, and Lecture Series, this event is free and open to the public.

Blood Drive to benefit THON, Nov. 12 at Penn State DuBois

The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive from 10 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12, in the Multipurpose Building Gymnasium at Penn State DuBois. For each person who donates, the Red Cross will make a $2 donation to Penn State DuBois Benefiting THON.
