Penn State DuBois softball had a great run in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (World Series, but it unfortunately came to an end Wednesday night. The D'Youville College St. Bernards scored first with three runs in the top of the first inning and went on to defeat DuBois 13-3.
DuBois took on the No. 1 seed University of Cincinnati Clermont in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association World Series Wednesday afternoon for a spot in the National Championship game Thursday, May 20. DuBois, the No. 2 seed, bested their opponent 3-2.
The DuBois softball team had an elimination game Tuesday evening, May 18, against Carlow University in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association World Series. Although Lizzy Scott had already pitched a game earlier in the day when DuBois beat Mont Alto, she got the start from Coach Kern, which would help take DuBois to an 8-3 win in this contest.
DuBois Baseball took on the University of Mississippi for Women Tuesday, May 18, in the 2nd round of the USCAA World Series. Morgan Bell had the start on the mound for the Lions. The Owls from Mississippi took to the scoreboard first in the top of the 1st inning to put DuBois down 1-0, but DuBois would rally for a 5-4 win.
Penn State DuBois took on Mid-Atlantic Christian University in the first round of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association World Series Monday evening at Showers Field, notching an 11-2 win. Brandon Orsich took the mound for the No. 2 seeded Lions to start the game.
Penn State DuBois had another meeting against Mont Alto Tuesday May, 18, only this time it was in the second round of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association World Series. In the win or go home game, DuBois showed up. It took only five innings for DuBois to move on to the next round as they defeated Mont Alto 10-2.
The Penn State DuBois softball team took on the Mississippi University for Women Monday evening in the first-round matchup of the USCAA World Series. Lizzy Scott got the call from Coach Kern to start from the circle.The Lady Lions would suffer a tough loss to Mississippi, 8-1.
The United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) kicked of the 2021 Small College World Series with recognition of national awardees. Penn State DuBois claimed several spots on the All-American list, and head baseball coach Tom Calliari was named coach of the year. Baseball player Brandon Orsich, of Clearfield earned the 2021 National Student Athlete of the Year, and Lizzy Scott, a pitcher from Morrisdale, PA, was also named National Player of the Year in softball.

Members of the Penn State DuBois Occupational Therapy Club closed out their semester with a project aimed at supporting local first responders. They assembled self-care items into gift baskets that were delivered to DuSan Ambulance Station 43 and Brady Township Fire, Rescue and Ambulance Station 30.
