DuBois Wildlife Technology Program awarded five-year accreditation

This summer, the Penn State DuBois Wildlife Technology Program earned a continued five-year accreditation with the North American Wildlife Technology Association (NAWTA). The program has been accredited by NAWTA for 35 years, and it is the only accredited two-year wildlife technology program in Pennsylvania.

Courses in metal machining slated for August at Penn State DuBois

The need for metal-machining workers in the region continues to grow, and Penn State DuBois, in conjunction with Workrforce Solutions of North Central Pennsylvania, has developed an entry-level training to help get more operators into the local industry. The program runs from the beginning of August until mid-November.

You don’t need to be an inventor, scientist, or historic statesmen like Ben Franklin in order to win this year’s BIG Idea contest.

Fairman Family Foundation first to support LaunchBox Initiative

With a $25,000 gift, the Fairman Family Foundation Endowment for the North Central PA LaunchBox Powered by Penn State DuBois has been established. This makes the Fairman Family Foundation the inaugural donor to support this initiative, with other donors in line to make similar commitments.

Benefit celebration to feature winner of NBC's 'America's Got Talent'

Landau Eugene Murphy Jr., winner of season six of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” will headline this year’s Penn State DuBois Benefit Celebration, slated for 6 p.m. Oct. 12 at the DuBois Country Club. Tickets go on sale July 1 for this unique event, which will see Murphy perform favorites from Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and other classics.

Tax Credit Seminar attracts regional attention

Entrepreneurs, business leaders and government officials from across Clearfield, Jefferson and Elk counties attended a tax credit seminar on June 20. in the DEF Building at Penn State DuBois. The seminar was hosted by the North Central PA LaunchBox and the North Central Pennsylvania Regional Planning and Development Commission.
