The Career Development Office at Penn State DuBois assists students with career exploration, skill development and the job search.
Students are encouraged to utilize career development from their first semester on campus to their last and even beyond.
We offer individual counseling sessions for students to explore the many career options with the following options: assessment tools, information interviews, job shadowing and lion link.
We use the above tools to shape our conversations and create a plan. We use job shadowing and informational interviews to help students further explore their field.
This office also conducts individual or group workshops on topics such as: resume writing, cover letters, interviewing skills, portfolio preparation and dining etiquette to name a few.
We have a career library for students to use and we can also assist students in identifying an internship opportunity. Internships can offer students work experience which will assist in leading to employment.
In addition, as you prepare to leave the University, we can assist you in preparing a job search strategy, mock interviews and searching for a graduate school program that fits your needs.
