Three Penn State DuBois students are preparing to serve as the official campus dancers at THON 2017, set for Feb. 17-19 at the Bryce Jordan Center at University Park. Jake Coalmer, Chanice Britten and Jacob Skubisz will represent the campus at the 46-hour dance marathon that benefits the battle against pediatric cancer.
M. Scott McBride, dean of the Caudill College of Arts, Humanities and Sciences at Morehead State University, will assume the role of chancellor and chief academic officer at Penn State DuBois on March 13.
On Monday, members of the Student Government Association cut the ribbon on the newly renovated Lion's Den Café and the Student Union at Penn State DuBois. Located in the Hiller Building, the Student Union and café areas were just one part of a major renovation project in that building that took place throughout the fall semester. Work was completed in December, making this popular area once again available for student use.

Penn State DuBois' head baseball coach Tom Calliari has announced the roster for the spring 2017 season, which he expects to be another winning campaign. The team is riding a high from last year, which ended with a fifth-place finish in the United States Collegiate Athletics Association Small College World Series in Great Falls, New York.
More than 70 area youngsters took part in youth baseball clinics this weekend, hosted by Penn State DuBois baseball players and coaches. The clinics were held at the Baseball Bank, an independent indoor training facility in DuBois, on Sunday. Clinics focused on hitting, pitching, and defense, and were tailored to specific age groups.

Penn State DuBois' THON committee has once again broken its own record in raising funds to support the University-wide efforts of THON, which was held Feb. 17-19 at the Bryce Jordan Center at University Park. DuBois raised $27,616.47 this year to rank No. 9 among Commonwealth Campus locations for funds raised.
