The Penn State DuBois Golf Team won its second PSUAC Championship on Tuesday with an overall score of 635 in the two-day event. Coaches Vic Gearhart and Ron Cavaline had the team ready for the tough competition at the Blue Course at the Penn State University Park campus.

Bill Allenbaugh, an alumnus and retired faculty member of Penn State DuBois, has received the 2017 Penn State DuBois Alumni Society Outstanding Alumni Award.
A total of 200 students from 11 high schools visited Penn State DuBois on Oct. 6, for Manufacturing Day. Those attending learned about a significant need within areas of the manufacturing industry for skilled and well educated workers. Professionals representing local companies at the event said they are actively seeking skilled workers to fill their workforce demands, and hope that initiatives like Manufacturing Day can raise awareness that there is opportunity in the region for successful careers.

Assistant coach of the Penn State DuBois baseball team, Mike Nesbit, has found an all new way to support his team, as well as all campus athletes. Nesbit has just finished bottling his own wine at Starr Hill Winery, in Curwensville. He and his wife, Becky, with a winning bid of around $500, won the opportunity to do so in the Lion Wine and Cheese Fundraising Auction for campus athletics in April.
