For more than three decades, Penn State DuBois Associate Professor of English Tony Vallone has shared his passion for literature, poetry, and all forms of writing. Now, Vallone is impacting an even greater number of aspiring writers by lending his expertise to The Watershed Journal as a member of its board of directors.

The Annual THON Dancer Sendoff Dinner and Hair Auction is the biggest fund-raising event for Penn State DuBois for THON each year, and it did not disappoint in 2020. At the end of the night, total funds raised this season for THON by DuBois students reached $32,082 to support the fight against childhood cancer, breaking the previous campus record. With donations accepted through Feb. 23, that number is still climbing.
The Penn State DuBois men's basketball team came into the Feb. 11 evening game needing each win to try to secure their playoff spot in the PSUAC. In a jumbled fight for fourth place with Penn State Beaver and Penn State Fayette, DuBois played host to Penn State Shenango on Tuesday, coming out on top 70-59.
The Penn State DuBois women's basketball team hosted the Knights from Central Penn Tuesday evening, coming close but losing the contest 75-62. DuBois came into the game 12-8 overall on the season and has all but sealed the a PSUAC playoff spot.
The Penn State DuBois men's basketball team hosted Penn State Greater Allegheny on Saturday afternoon, Feb. 1. DuBois came into the contest on a three-game winning streak in the Penn State University Athletic Conference, and a fourth consecutive victory would have boosted the team into a tie for a playoff spot. DuBois, however, fell short, taking a 65-58 loss to Greater Allegheny.
