The Penn State DuBois volleyball team is coming off of their longest winning streak of the season after winning four matches over the weekend. Wednesday night DuBois would go for win number five in a row as they hosted Penn State Beaver in a tough PSUAC matchup.
This night was also a time when the Penn State DuBois Athletic Department was able to recognize Allison Easton for her 500th kill of her career. Easton hit her milestone during the weekend against Penn State Schuylkill, and was able to be recognized tonight in front of her home crowd.
The fans were not disappointed in the show tonight as the Lady Lions went into a five-set match. DuBois looked to be in control as they took the first set with ease, 25-15. Beaver came right back in the second however, and put DuBois down 25-14. The third set would flip flop again as DuBois looked again to be in control, winning this one 25-16. The fourth set was no different for the entire match, and led Beaver to come out on top of that one, 25-18. It was DuBois turn again in the fifth and final set no, and they showed their home crowd what they could do as they defeated Beaver for the match, 15-6.
Easton ended her milestone evening with 20 kills and eight blocks. Skylar Ceprish had a big showing with 11 kills and 19 digs to help DuBois, and Jenna Hyde came away at the end of the night with 38 assists.
DuBois will travel to Penn State Fayette for another PSUAC matchup on Oct. 4.
