
Cierra O’Shell scored a career high 19 points versus Penn Highlands.
The Penn State DuBois Women’s basketball team returned from the Thanksgiving holidays and picked up another home win over Penn Highlands CC by the score of 85-54. The PSUD squad improved to (4-1) with the win heading into PSUAC Conference play this weekend.
Four players registered double figures with Cierra O’Shell (Glendale) hitting for a career high 19 points, Kristen Williams (Eisenhower) 18 points, Hope Bridge (Punxsutawney) 11 points, and Kashius Harris (Beaver Falls) 10 points. Lauren Young (Bellefonte) hauled a career high 11 rebounds followed by Melody Young (Otto Eldred) with 10 rebounds.
“Our girls have really accepted their roles and are playing as a team,” stated coach Pat Lewis. “We are getting contributions from every play on the court. Gracie Hamilton (Northern Potter) hit for a career high 9 points, Grace Earle (Cowanesque Valley) was 5-6 from the foul line, Morgan Silvis (Forest Area) had 4 assists, and Laura Fatula (DuBois HS) had 3 assists and 0 turnovers from the point guard position.”
This weekend, the Lady Lions will travel east to take on Penn State Mont Alto Friday night (6:00) and on Saturday will face Penn State York (1:00) to open their Penn State University Athletic Conference schedule.
