DuBois Area captures BEST Robotics title at Penn State DuBois

For the third consecutive year, DuBois Area High School has taken the top spot in the BEST Robotics Competition at Penn State DuBois, the first round of a national robotics competition for middle and high school students. Rounding out the top three in the overall BEST awards are Redbank Valley High School in second and Cranberry Area School District in third.

Alumni Society invites all to craft painting night at Penn State DuBois

A craft painting night sponsored by the Penn State DuBois Alumni Society is open to the public. Artist Kelly Porada of Kelly’s Arts and Crafts in Punxsutawney will instruct the class on how to create a Penn State-themed craft painting at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15, in Room 203 of the DEF Building at Penn State DuBois.

Honor Society inducts new members

The Delta Mu Sigma Honor Society at Penn State DuBois has inducted new members for the Fall 2018 semester. In order to qualify for membership students must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above, and be involved in campus or community service.

National Robotics Competition to be held at Penn State DuBois

A nation-wide robotics competition for middle and high school students will take place at Penn State DuBois, and all interested spectators from the public are invited to attend. The BEST (Boosting Engineering, Science and Technology) robotics competition will take place from 4 until 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 19, and continuing from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20.
