Penn State DuBois has announced the campus dean’s list for the spring 2021 semester. In recognition of academic excellence, students who maintain a grade-point average of 3.50 or higher are named to the dean's list each semester.
The Penn State DuBois Athletic Department has been named winner of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) 2021 National Directors Cup. DuBois also took the third spot in the USCAA 2021 National President's Cup.
The introductory American Sign Language class will meet from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays, beginning on Oct. 5. This class teaches finger spelling, conversational phrases, and a variety of commonly used signs.

The Institutes of Energy and the Environment (IEE) has awarded seed grants to 22 groups of interdisciplinary researchers for the 2020-21 award cycle. This year, seed grants were awarded to proposals focusing on at least one of IEE’s five strategic research themes — Climate and Ecosystem Change, Health and the Environment, Integrated Energy Systems, Urban Systems, and Water and Biogeochemical Cycles.
Penn State DuBois Continuing and Community Education will offer two courses at the North Central PA LaunchBox in August to help explore the ways Microsoft Excel can be used to manage business. Basic and Intermediate Excel courses are both available.
Training recommended by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) will be offered through Penn State DuBois Continuing and Community Education in St. Marys, Pennsylvania, this August. This 10-hour training is intended to help employees in many different industries maintain a healthy and safe work environment.
Effective July 1, 2021, Pingjuan Werner, professor of engineering, will assume responsibilities as interim chancellor at Penn State DuBois. Werner fills the role vacated by Chancellor M. Scott McBride, who also retires effective July 1.
Penn State DuBois Continuing and Community Education, in partnership with Penn State Berks, will offer an SAT preparatory course for high school students. Two sections of this course are offered at different times, allowing participants to choose the class that best fits their schedule.
