Several men representing students, faculty and staff at Penn State DuBois took to the streets, or at least the sidewalks around campus, wearing high-heel shoes during the annual “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” event, held on Sept. 13.
During the last academic year, Penn State DuBois saw the creation of its own esports club, with a goal of bringing students together through their shared passion for gaming. With the excitement of esports and its recent rapid rise to prominence throughout the world, Penn State DuBois has taken a big step toward making esports a staple on campus.
From mid-September through the end of October, Penn State units at campuses across the commonwealth will be holding events in honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrated Sept. 15 to Oct. 15. This year's overall theme is "Nuestra Comunidad Latina: Celebrating a Thriving Community."

Since 2017, the Jay and Betty Pifer Scholarship has supported students at Penn State DuBois and in the College of Engineering who are striving toward their goal of earning a degree. First endowed with a $25,000 gift from the Pifers, the scholarship has now grown to have a profound impact that honors the great legacy of the Pifers.
