Penn State DuBois alumnus helps to innovate church communication

Adam B.L. Snyder, of Brockway, Pennsylvania, has always had two passions: his faith in the Catholic Church, and work in mass-media communications. Today, the Penn State DuBois graduate has combined his enthusiasm for both to establish a successful career in helping to move church communication into the 21st century.

Spring 2021 plans announced, giving students, faculty and staff time to prepare

Plans for Penn State’s Spring 2021 semester, announced Oct. 4, include a later start in January; continuation of the current flexible instructional modes, including in-person; the elimination of spring break; and completion of instruction for all undergraduate and graduate students by April 30. The University will maintain its observance of Martin Luther King Jr. day on Jan. 18 for students and faculty, when no classes will be held and Dr. King’s legacy will be celebrated through a number of virtual events.

PSUAC postpones the start of basketball to spring semester 2021

Penn State Commonwealth Campuses Beaver, Brandywine, DuBois, Fayette, Greater Allegheny, Hazleton, Lehigh Valley, Mont Alto, New Kensington, Scranton, Schuylkill, Shenango, Wilkes-Barre and York will follow national movement among small conferences and push basketball competition to the spring semester due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.

'Day of Peace' celebrated at Penn State DuBois

Students, faculty and staff at Penn State DuBois took a peaceful stance against social injustice on Sept. 23 by celebrating a “Day of Peace” on campus. While maintaining social distance and masking up, individuals mounted a demonstration to spread the word that hate is not tolerated on campus, or in the community.

She has spearheaded a peaceful movement aimed at promoting equality that she has named Project Unity. The online art gallery invites submissions from the entire Penn State community and beyond.

Penn State DuBois Criminal Justice Students reach out to community

Students in the Penn State DuBois Criminal Justice program are learning real-world lessons in maintaining good relations between law enforcement, the corrections system, and the community. As part of a project for the course “Criminal Justice and the Community” Lecturer of Criminal Justice Selena Price tasked students with conducting a survey to gather information on the perceptions of the criminal justice system and the police.
