Courses offered to help local manufacturers build new skills

Penn State DuBois Outreach is offering two technical workshops that aid those employed in the manufacturing industry in the area. The Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) is a class designed to provide an in-depth view of the AIAG Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) 4th Edition. The students will discuss the different topics of a PPAP such as: significant production run, PPAP requirements, customer notification, submission requirements, and part submissions status.

Penn State DuBois students serve community for Outreach Day

A total of 146 new freshmen, plus their faculty and staff group leaders, reached out to communities throughout the region Aug. 18 for Penn State DuBois Outreach Day. Each year, as part of New Student Orientation, new students volunteer at various charitable and community oriented organizations in the area, giving students a look at the importance of service, while lending a hand to local charities.

Penn State DuBois welcomes new students for kickoff of academic year

Chancellor M. Scott McBride, on behalf of all campus faculty and staff, welcomed new freshmen to Penn State DuBois during Convocation ceremonies on Thursday in the campus gymnasium, opening up the two-day New Student Orientation. "New students, today marks the beginning of the rest of your life. The opportunity to earn a coveted Penn State degree is why you are here, but it is far from the only life-changing thing that you will take away from your Penn State experience.

Penn State DuBois alumni to host 'A Night in the Wilds'

The Penn State DuBois Alumni Society will host "A Night in the Wilds" from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 27, at the Elk Country Visitor Center in Benezette, Pennsylvania. All members of the public are invited to attend and take the opportunity to become familiar with what the center has to offer.
