Athletes have sacrificed the opportunity to participate in their sport, yet they’ve remained dedicated to their training and to their academic success. In a challenging time filled with virtual events, the Penn State DuBois Hair Auction to benefit THON still ended the night with $7,615 raised to support children battling cancer. This puts the overall campus goal to support THON 2021 at $19,441.77.
New research published by Robert Loeb, a professor in biology and forestry at Penn State DuBois, outlines his efforts to bring the experience of rural forests to those who live in cities, with an eye toward what Loeb calls “environmental justice.”

Four Penn State DuBois students will represent the campus as the official THON Dancers at this year’s Penn State Dance Marathon. Charis Martell, Brianna Shaw, Sarah Voris, and Haley Rummel are this year’s official Penn State DuBois THON dancers, and will be celebrated through a virtual send-off event at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 10, via Zoom at https://psu.zoom.us/j/99160171680
