The need for metal machining workers in our region continues to grow. Penn State DuBois and Workforce Solutions, in partnership with several of the region’s leading metal manufacturing companies, developed an entry-level training to help get more operators into the local industry.
Partnering with the North Central PA LaunchBox, Ben Franklin’s TechCelerator @DuBois, is inviting emerging entrepreneurs, students, professors, small businesses and the general public from across the region to apply to the next 10-week Business Startup Boot Camp.
Penn State DuBois and the Allegheny Mountain Section #0203 of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) are pleased to announce two major certification exam primers will be offered this spring at the campus. The exam primers will be offered starting in February by the Continuing and Community Education Department at Penn State DuBois. Both classes are 120 hours in length.

Fall 2019 graduates of Penn State DuBois will be celebrated at Fall Commencement Ceremonies beginning at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 19, in the Multipurpose Building Gymnasium at Penn State DuBois. Friends and family members, as well as all members of the public, are invited to attend and support the new graduates.
A new endowment at Penn State DuBois named in memory of the late Deborah Gill will support student travel opportunities at the campus. Gill’s sister, Pam McMahon, has established the Dr. Deborah J. Gill Student Travel Endowment at Penn State DuBois with a $25,000 pledge.
All members of the DuBois community are invited to “Crafts and Cocoa for THON” at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 12 in the Hiller Student Union at Penn State DuBois. Participants will make a holiday wreath for display this winter season. The cost of $40 per person includes all supplies to make the wreath, as well as hot cocoa to enjoy while crafting. All proceeds benefit Penn State DuBois for THON.
Penn State DuBois will offer two unique instructional courses in golf this spring for those looking to either take up the sport for the first time, or for current golfers looking to improve their game.
The Penn State DuBois men's basketball team traveled to Penn State Shenango Tuesday night in hopes of another conference win after starting out PSUAC play 1-1 this season. Shenango would go on to win, 96-87.
