As the midpoint of the spring sports season moves past, the baseball and softball teams at Penn State DuBois are in the heart of their seasons. With Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) play in full swing, important wins were picked up by both teams last week and both teams will be looking to keep positive momentum moving forward in their upcoming games this week.
The Penn State DuBois Alumni Society has announced the recipients of its annual alumni awards, recognizing outstanding achievements and contributions to the University and the community. The awards will be presented at the Lions, Legacy, and Laughter event at 6:30 p.m. April 12.
A new program in partnership with Penn State DuBois Continuing and Community Education is providing students in the Saint Marys Area School District’s Dutch Manufacturing program with hands-on training in key manufacturing processes, including welding.
Penn State DuBois will host a special lecture, “Brain and Environment in Neurodegenerative Diseases: A Complex Connection,” featuring Inga Kadisha from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. The event will take place at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 4, in Hiller Auditorium.
In a week where Mother Nature played havoc with baseball and softball across the commonwealth, Penn State DuBois baseball was able to get in several games, picking up three wins last week. The softball team, however, wasn’t as lucky, as its entire week of games was canceled due to weather.
Penn State DuBois Continuing and Community Education recently announced that Nicki Dufour has been hired as the coordinator of its developing Practical Nursing program and will work with the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing on the pending approval and development of the program for the campus.
The Penn State Emeritus Academy has announced the induction of seven esteemed emeritus faculty members as Academy Professors for Spring 2025. These distinguished scholars have been recognized for their exceptional contributions to the University in teaching, research, and service.
