DuBOIS, Pa. – The Penn State DuBois Office of Student Engagement will welcome students and members of the public to Hiller Auditorium on Tuesday, April 23 for a performance from comedian Hayden Kristal.
Kristal, who uses they/them/theirs pronouns, is a Colorado-based deaf queer activist and stand-up comedian. Living life at the intersection of multiple marginalized identities led Kristal to a career as a professional speaker, they said, exploring the intersections of ability, gender, sexuality and access, particularly within the spheres of activism and social justice.
Kristal’s quick wit and cheerful self-deprecation has earned plenty of comedic accolades, as well as over 690,000 followers on TikTok. Kristal also earned a semifinalist spot on "America’s Got Talent" and a guest role on Netflix and Adult Swim’s "Tuca and Bertie."
This show is recommended for those 18 years of age and older.
The performance will begin at 7 p.m. There is free admission, and this event is open to the public.
The program is presented by the Penn State DuBois Office of Student Engagement as part of the Diversity, Arts, and Lecture Series. For more information, contact Brittany Stanton, assistant director of student engagement, at [email protected] or 814-375-4764.
