Professionals who are searching for jobs with area companies are invited to attend a career fair at Penn State DuBois on March 28. Employers from more than 50 companies will be on hand, representing career fields that are thriving in Central Pennsylvania, such as human services, business management, engineering, marketing and more.

Some faculty and staff members at Penn State DuBois were recognized on Thursday for their length of service to the campus. Penn State DuBois annually recognizes faculty and staff members for their years of employment when they reach personal, five year milestones.

DuBois Veterans Club plans, seeks support for campus memorial

Members of the Penn State DuBois Veterans Club are seeking support for the creation and installation of a memorial on campus to honor all students, past, present and future, who serve or have served in the armed forces. The granite, keystone-shaped stone will feature the seals of all five branches of the U.S. military, as well as an inscription memorializing student veterans of the campus.

Hair Auction Nets Thousands for THON

A total of $7,013 was raised for THON on Thursday evening at the Penn State DuBois THON Dancer Sendoff Dinner. A silent auction, and the main event, a hair auction, brought in these funds that top off the campus total to date of $22,567 raised towards THON's university wide effort for this year.

Electronic microscope offers new opportunities for students, industry

Thanks to a gift from a generous donor, Penn State DuBois engineering students and faculty have another way to distinguish themselves as members of an outstanding program. A new scanning electronic microscope, now housed in the engineering labs, is available, meeting a variety of needs, and bringing some research capabilities in line with labs at University Park.

DuBois women's basketball team ends season 15-9

The Penn State DuBois Women’s basketball team entered their game against the number two seeded team in the PSUAC, Penn State Lehigh Valley, knowing that a win was needed to advance into the PSUAC playoffs. Three solid quarters by DuBois was not enough as Lehigh Valley came up big in the fourth quarter to secure a 67-56 win to end DuBois’s season.

Farmers National Bank supports Open Doors scholarship program

The Farmers National Bank of Emlenton has made a $30,000 contribution to Penn State DuBois in support of The Open Doors Scholarship Program. This endowment will provide financial assistance to students who are attending the DuBois campus and involved in the pilot programs.

Donors 'open doors' for education with Penn State program

Donors who choose to support the education of students through scholarship programs have an opportunity to make a much larger impact through a program currently offered by Penn State. The Open Doors Scholarship Program offers a permanent 2:1 match for gifts made to help students with financial need. This means a gift of $30,000 by a donor becomes $90,000 with Penn State's match. The program is only available for a limited window of time, through April 30.
