Daniel B. Kohlhepp is a senior lecturer at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School’s Edward St. John Real Estate Program in Washington, DC and the president of Granite Road. LLC, a real estate development company in DuBois, Pennsylvania. He began his career in real estate as a college professor at the University of Oklahoma and Penn State University and then spent 30 years as a real estate investor and developer before returning to academia five years ago when he retired from Crescent Resources, LLC as the president of both its Commercial Division and its residential development company, LandMar Group.
At the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, Kohlhepp has served as the academic program director of the Master of Science in Real Estate and Infrastructure Program and has been responsible for the real estate development, investment, and modeling courses. He has just completed two, on-line courses in real estate development for the NAIOP Commercial Real Estate Organization.
At Crescent Resources, Dr. Kohlhepp was responsible for 18 major commercial developments in seven states that included mixed-use, office, warehouse/distribution, and retail projects as well as 28 master-planned community developments in Florida and southern Georgia.
After teaching at the University of Oklahoma and the Pennsylvania State University, Dr. Kohlhepp left academia in 1979 to become a developer in Oklahoma City. In 1984, he moved to Washington, D.C., to enter the real estate investment advisory business, and in 1991, he sold his company to Baltimore-based USF&G Corporation. His company was responsible for all development and investment activities for a $1.5 billion real estate. In 1992, Dr. Kohlhepp started Kohlhepp Realty Advisors in DuBois, Pennsylvania, which specialized in real estate portfolio valuation and management for institutional and government regulatory clients.
In 2001, he joined Crescent Resources to develop Potomac Yard, a 300-acre, mixed-use, urban in-fill project in Northern Virginia. During the development of Potomac Yard, Dr. Kohlhepp and his team were awarded the Northern Virginia NAIOP Best Transaction of the Year (2001), Trenchless Technology’s Project of the Year (2003), Arlington Chamber of Commerce Chairman’s Award (2003), Washington Business Journal’s Best GSA Lease Award (2004), and the Arlington Chamber of Commerce ABBIES “Green “Award (2005). In 2007, One and Two Potomac Yard, , a 654,000 square-foot, twin-tower, office project within Potomac Yard, was awarded the “Best Commercial Project” and the “Best Building High-rise” by the Virginia Sustainable Building Network and the Northern Virginia NAIOP, respectively.
In 2007 the Homer Hoyt Institute recognized Kohlhepp as a Hoyt Fellow, and in 2012, he was elected to the board of directors of the Homer Hoyt Institute. He is a principal of the Real Estate Counselors Group of America, and he is also member of the Appraisal institute and currently serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Sustainable Real Estate.
Dan attended Penn State on a wrestling scholarship, but career-ending knee injury sent him to the cheerleading squad where he gained notoriety as the Nittany Lion Mascot during the 1967-68 and 1968-69 football seasons. At Penn State, he was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity and the Parmi Nous honor society. He is a member of the DuBois Education Foundation and served as its president from 1998 to 2000. In 2004, he was recognized by Penn State with the Alumni Fellow Award.
Kohlhepp earned his Ph.D. at The Ohio State University where he met his wife of 40 years, Donna Sell Kohlhepp, Ph.D. They have three daughters, two of which are Penn State graduates, and a son-in-law who is also a Penn State graduate.

Craig Ball is a Financial Advisor and Vice President of Wealth Management at CNB Bank located in Clearfield, PA. Craig has been in banking for 26 years and a financial advisor for the last 16 years.
At CNB Bank Craig is the licensed principle for the brokerage side of the CNB Wealth and Asset Management Department. He is in charge of the coordination of the Banks Investment program with its outside Broker Dealer, Securities America Inc. He also oversees the licensing and compliance of the banks licensed financial advisors for CNB Bank as well as its two subsidiary banks, ERIEBANK in Erie Pa and FC Bank in Central Ohio. Prior to CNB Bank, Craig was a Financial Consultant with Janney Montgomery Scott in DuBois and started his banking carrier at First Commonwealth Bank in 1990.
Over the years Craig has been active in the DuBois Community. Earlier this year he received the Silver Ribbon Award from the DuBois Chamber of Commerce for community service, leadership and mentoring of others. Craig is the current President of the DuBois Soccer Association, and sits on the Leadership Team at Tri County Church of DuBois. In the past he has served on and has been the president of the DuBois YMCA Board, DuBois Library Board, DuBois Area Jaycess and was the Assistant Scoutmaster of Boys Scout Troop 27.
Craig is currently the Chairman of the Development Committee of the DuBois Educational Foundation of Penn State DuBois. While attending Penn State Craig was the President of the South Halls Dorm Complex. He represented the 2,400 students in the 7 dorm buildings of South Halls to the Penn State Association of Residence Halls Students. Prior to that he was the President of the Biology club while attending Penn State DuBois
Craig lives with his wife Marla and their two kids, Cory and Jordan in DuBois. He and Marla are still involved in coaching and refereeing youth soccer and volunteering at their church.

Ronald A. Santini is retired from Duke Energy Corp. where he was an Environmental Scientist and Manager, Environmental Assessments and Monitoring. Currently he is an instructor for Penn State World Campus and as a nature, wildlife and sports photographer.
During Ron’s tenure at Duke Energy Corp. he was responsible for managing activities of environmental scientists and technicians with responsibility for assessing and monitoring Duke Energy surface and groundwater environmental impacts from power generation facilities in the Carolinas. Major accomplishments included installation of the first dedicated groundwater monitoring systems at generating facilities in the Carolinas, implementation of rapid assessment and mobile laboratory activities for contaminated site assessments, part of a technical exchange team evaluating environmental monitoring system at the Zaporoshye Nuclear Generating Complex, Zaporozhye, Ukraine, and project manager overseeing environmental remediation for redevelopment of Potomac Yards, a 330-acre former railroad switching yard and regional rail maintenance facility in Virginia. Previously, Ron held positions with state and federal environmental agencies and numerous environmental and engineering consulting firms in Pennsylvania and the Carolinas. Ron got his start in the environmental field at Lee-Simpson Engineers.
In his current position with Penn State World Campus, Ron teaches Geography, Energy Industry Applications of GIS, and is an instructor/coach for capstone project course, EME Energy and Sustainability in Society.
Ron played basketball at Penn State DuBois and was MVP (’70-’71). He is a life member of the Penn State Alumni Association, a member of the PSAA Charlotte Chapter and a Penn State LionLink Coach. Ron enjoys active sports, coaches and plays basketball, enjoys hiking and spends much of his time on photography projects. He is a member of the Professional Photographers of America and the Carolinas Nature Photographers Association where he serves on their Conservation Committee. Michael White is a Sales Manager for Brookville Equipment Corp. in Brookville, PA. In his current position at Brookville Equipment, Michael performs all aspects of lead generation, evaluation, and capture of sales for streetcars, locomotives and underground mining equipment.
Michael’s work history began in the United States Coast Guard in 1989 where he honorably served eight years as an aviation electrician. Aspiring for a fulfilling career in business, Michael began Distance Learning through Penn State in 1998 which he completed at the DuBois Campus in 2007. He began working for Brookville Equipment as their marketing specialist. Traveling extensively throughout the USA, and six countries on three continents, Michael led sales and marketing efforts for all three product divisions. Today he champions the submission of multi-million dollar sales proposals for private and public procurements for transportation fleets all over the world.
When Michael is not out selling streetcars, much of his time is spent on a mountain bike trail. Eleven years ago Michael founded the FAT TIRE Challenge mountain bike race held locally in Clear Creek State Forest. That single race led to the creation of a 6-race series called “Bike-the-Wilds”. Michael has received several awards from Penn State, including the Eric A. and Josephine S. Walker Award, the Penn State Business Outstanding Junior Award, and the Penn State Program of the Year Award, all in 2006. He also received the Penn State Terry Hartman Volunteer Service Award in 2007. Michael currently serves as a volunteer on the Pennsylvania Trails Advisory Committee (part of the DCNR), BSA merit badge counselor, PSU DuBois Alumni Society President (2013-2014) and he is the retail committee chair on the Brookville Chamber of Commerce.
Michael’s true passion is his family: wife Melinda, and daughters Megan and Madison are all proud supporters of Penn State along with Michael’s mom Paula and father Glenn White ’73 FORT.
