Three dedicated individuals were recently honored for their 25 years of service to Penn State DuBois.
Director of Enrollment Melissa Duttry, Associate Professor of English Antonio Vallone, and Senior Instructor of Business Administration Laurie Breakey were all recognized during a reception held in Symmco House, the campus administrative building.
Duttry oversees campus admissions and recruitment of new students and manages enrollment and retention of current students. In addition to these duties, she oversees the distribution of financial aid and scholarships, serves on the campus leadership team, and serves on various committees including the marketing and recruitment committee.
In addition to teaching, Vallone also serves as adviser for the Delta Mu Sigma Honor Society. He has won, among other awards, the George W. Atherton Award, the Delta Mu Sigma Professor of the Year Award and the Club Adviser of the Year Award. He is also the publisher of MAMMOTH books, a non-profit literary publishing company, and the author of several poetry collections.
Breakey teaches and supports students in two- and four-year business degree programs. She has twice been named the DuBois Educational Foundation Educator of the Year, and has received the Commonwealth College Excellence in Academic Advising Award.
