In an exciting match the Penn State DuBois Lady Lions defeated Penn State Beaver 3-1 this week. The DuBois Lady Lions pulled out the first two sets 25-19 and 25-18. In the third set Beaver rallied back to 23-21 to win the set 25-23. However, DuBois rallied back and won the fourth game convincingly by a score of 25-10.
Coach Alberts said, “I was pleased with the way we played on defense tonight and the fact that after losing the third set 25-23 we kept our composure and took the match with a win in the fourth set.”
Match Leaders were Melody Young, 13 kills, 4 aces , 36 digs; Keara Shrefler, 6 kills, 5 aces, 19 digs; Grace Earle, 8 kills, 14 digs; and Gabby Wolff, 6 aces 23 digs.
