DUBOIS, Pa. — All members of the community are welcome to celebrate Earth Day at Penn State DuBois while learning more about ways they can help sustain their environment. The Fourth Annual Penn State DuBois Earth Day Celebration is planned for 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, in the campus gymnasium. All activities are free and open to everyone.
Organized by the campus' Wildlife Society and the Green Team, this event will feature more than 20 exhibits from local organizations that are aligned with outdoor activities, environmental and stewardship. There will be educational workshops on topics including how to build a butterfly garden, gardening with the Jefferson County Master Gardeners, activities for kids, prizes and more.
While this activity is open to the public, it is asked that children be under the supervision of a parent or guardian at all times.
