DuBois women's volleyball tops Paul Smith’s College in USCAA tournament

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — The Penn State DuBois women's volleyball team won its second game in the 2021 USCAA National Championship Tournament on Friday morning, Nov. 12, against Paul Smith's College, the Yankee Conference champions. The win put DuBois at 1-1 in pool play to be seeded in the final bracket for the championship tournament. DuBois will now move on to take on Penn State Mont Alto at 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12.

DuBois lost two matches to Mont Alto during the regular season. The team is looking to learn from those losses and take advantage of that for their championship run.

In the match against Paul Smith's, Catherine Gregory put up 29 assists while Kyara Girvan added 14 digs and three service aces. Sydney Kaschalk led the way with kills as she put down 14, and Nicolette Brossard put down nine kills of her own.
