HOW DO I START?
Make sure you qualify -
- Are you a high school junior or senior?
- Is your GPA at least 2.8?
Meet with your guidance counselor to obtain a letter of permission and a copy of your high school transcript. (Juniors also need a copy of PSSA or PSAT or SAT scores.)
Determine whether your school district participates in the dual enrollment program; you may be eligible for additional funding to further offset course costs.
Call Penn State DuBois, 814-375-4720, to set up an appointment with an admissions counselor.
Meet with a representative of Penn State DuBois Admissions Office to schedule a course. Bring your letter of permission, transcript (and scores, if applicable) with you.
Any student wishing to take a math course will be required to take the online ALEKS Placement Test. An exam can be scheduled through the admissions office.
Students can enroll in many lower-division classes, as long as the student has met all required prerequisite courses and has successfully completed any required placement tests. Please review our current course offerings.
Because of the time necessary for the campus to evaluate the application, arrange for academic advising, and coordinate any necessary placement tests, students must submit their Dual Enrollment Registration Form and high school transcript at least two weeks prior to the start of the semester.
