Attendance
General meetings, Fall Visitation, and Spring Visitation are mandatory for all Lion Ambassadors to attend. Failure to notify the Admissions Office in advance of a mandatory event or event you signed up for which you will be unable to attend will result in an unexcused absence.
The following situations are always considered excused:
death in the family
illness
test or class scheduled during an event
Two unexcused absences in one academic year is automatic grounds for removal from the Lion Ambassador program. Removal is permanent. Lion Ambassadors must report to the designated room/area (5) five minutes prior to scheduled tour and/or event. LION AMBASSADORS MUST ALWAYS BE ON TIME! Please remember--the purpose of the attendance policy is not to get rid of members, but rather to keep members involved and active. As a Lion Ambassador, you must be dedicated to your role as a promoter of Penn State DuBois. This is a prestigious organization, therefore, this organization is designed only for students who are responsible and committed.
Dress Code
Appropriate attire is required when assisting with events. Ambassadors should wear their Lion Ambassador shirt along with tan-colored pants.
No Jeans
Sweatpants and jeans will not be considered "slacks"
Shorts or skirts that are too short in length will not be accepted
Members need to to conduct themselves in an exemplary and professional manner while in Lion Ambassador uniform. For example, no smoking, profanity, or excessive public displays of affection, etc.
