Farmers National Bank has contributed $2,500 in support of Penn State DuBois youth programing through a Pennsylvania state tax credit program. This gift supports scholarship funds for youth.
The Glenn and Ruth Mengle Foundation of DuBois has made a $20,000 gift to support the Glenn and Ruth Mengle Foundation Scholarship at Penn State DuBois. First established in 1998 with a $15,000 gift, the foundation pledges support to this scholarship fund each year.
All students are required to participate in COVID-19 testing and have a negative result on file. Students who have a positive test on file with the University from within the last 90 days from your planned return date do not need to complete this testing.
The DuBois Educational Foundation (DEF) is a front-runner in establishing one of the first Educational Equity Scholarships at Penn State DuBois. With a $25,000 pledge, the new DuBois Educational Foundation Equity Scholarship will support diversity in the campus student population.
Penn State has decided to delay the start of in-person classes and transition to a fully remote learning environment for the beginning of the spring 2021 semester at all campus locations. This decision was made following extensive analysis and scenario planning given worsening virus conditions nationally and across the state indicating predictions of rising hospitalization rates in the coming weeks.
Plans for Penn State’s Spring 2021 semester, announced Oct. 4, include a later start in January; continuation of the current flexible instructional modes, including in-person; the elimination of spring break; and completion of instruction for all undergraduate and graduate students by April 30. The University will maintain its observance of Martin Luther King Jr. day on Jan. 18 for students and faculty, when no classes will be held and Dr. King’s legacy will be celebrated through a number of virtual events.

Following a three-month comprehensive planning process, Penn State officials have determined that the University can meet or exceed the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s guidelines for colleges and universities, and look forward to welcoming back faculty, staff and students to resume on-campus, in-person classes and other activities this fall in a limited fashion.
Local financial adviser Jennifer L. Reynolds-Hamilton has pledged $25,000 to establish The Jennifer L. Reynolds-Hamilton Endowment in Support of the North Central PA LaunchBox. Penn State, as part of the Greater Penn State for 21st Century Excellence Campaign and the LaunchBox Matching Program, will make a one-time matching contribution to this endowment in the amount of $25,000, resulting in a $50,000 endowment.
Members of Pennsylvania Wildlife Habitat Unlimited recently made their annual $3,000 contribution to the organization's scholarship fund at Penn State DuBois. To date, the PWHU has contributed a total of $60,000, which has provided scholarships to 47 students.
