North Central PA LaunchBox's $50,000 BIG Idea Contest deadline fast approaching

The deadline for submitting ideas to the BIG Idea Contest is fast approaching. All submissions must be made by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 24. Ben Franklin Technology Partners and the North Central PA LaunchBox Powered by Penn State DuBois are holding this contest for aspiring entrepreneurs. The winning idea for a unique new product, service or business concept could be awarded up to $50,000.

Basket Bingo Night to benefit THON

A Basket Bingo Night is planned at Penn State DuBois to benefit THON, the Penn State Dance Marathon held each February to raise funds to help battle childhood cancer. Bingo Night is planned for 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, in the Hiller Student Union.

DuBois volleyball defeats New Kensington

The Penn State DuBois Lady Lion volleyball team hosted Penn State New Kensington on Sunday for a single match up of play. DuBois was just coming off of their tiring tri-match from the day before, but was ready for the new challenge.
