Penn State DuBois welcomed students, alumni and members of the community to the PAW Center on March 27 for the annual career fair. With more than 50 employers at the event, the career fair was a prime opportunity for those in attendance to learn about possible career opportunities that are available and make connections with professionals in the area that will have long-standing impacts.
For spring sports in Pennsylvania, the saying goes that you are at the mercy of Mother Nature. For the baseball and softball teams at Penn State DuBois, that statement couldn’t be more true — both teams played a limited slate after forecasts and weather forced some schedule changes.
For most, the term “spring break” conjures thoughts of beautiful weather, fun locations and a good time had by all. But for several students at Penn State DuBois, this year’s spring break had another reason they'll never forget it. They used their spring break to make an impact on the world.
Penn State DuBois freshman softball player Natalie Bowser has been named the Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) softball hitter of the week for week two of the season. Bowser had an outstanding week at the plate for the Lady Lions last week.
The baseball and softball teams at Penn State DuBois both had a busy week of action last week, including the home opener for the Nittany Lions and Lady Lions. With the spring season now in full swing, games are coming fast and frequent for both teams.

Numerous members of the faculty and staff at Penn State DuBois were recently honored for their dedication to the campus during the annual length of service luncheon. A total of 17 faculty and staff members were recognized for reaching one of the five-year increment milestones as part of the campus community.
As the seasons start to transition from winter to spring, that signifies the start of the baseball and softball seasons for the teams at Penn State DuBois. Both teams had the opportunity to get their spring seasons started last week during spring break as they played a series of games in Myrtle Beach.
Penn State DuBois' annual panel on Women in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) was held last week by the Career Services office. The event provided valuable insight into the challenges faced by women in STEM fields by sharing their personal experiences.
