Student Government Association

Here at Penn State DuBois, the students, faculty, and staff are proud to say that we are a family.  It's just one part of what makes this campus truly a home to many.  The Student Government Association (SGA) has the honor of representing and advocating for some very special members of the family:  the students.  We gather all the thoughts, comments, or concerns of the students and take care of it for them!  So please stop in our office in the bottom of Hiller and talk to us!   SGA also plays a hand in helping all the clubs and organizations on campus by providing funds and leadership training, as well as keeping track of their requirements to remain an active club or organization in the Penn State system.  We do this to ensure the students have access to a complete college experience.  College is a whole new chapter of your life that you will never forget.  You will make friends here that will last a lifetime.  So, please join a club or organization and make the best of your time on this campus, become a family member!

We are . . .a community.  We are . . . a family.  We are . . . Penn State.

What is SGA?

SGA stands for Student Government Association. Our constitution states that our purpose is to represent the general welfare of the students of Penn State DuBois.

It is important to know your SGA representatives so if you ever have any questions or concerns you know you can take it to one of your fellow classmates. SGA members are always willing to listen and will do whatever they see possible to clear up problems and report back to the students. SGA members discuss all comments made to them and take it to whomever is most knowledgeable about the subject.

Who Comprises SGA?

The SGA consists of a President, Vice President, Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secretary, Treasurer, Club Coordinator, 4-7 Upper Class Senators, and 7-11 First Year Senators, based on enrollment.
