Descriptions of Clubs and Organizations

Astronomy Club - Promotes learning and enthusiasm in the field of astronomy within the campus community.

Blue and White Society (inactive) - Supports the Alumni Society at Penn State DuBois and helps to familiarize students with the Alumni Society.

Business Society - Seeks to bring together current business students and leaders of the local business community.

Chess Club (inactive) -  The purpose of the Chess Club is to promote interest in the game of chess on campus

Christian Student Fellowship (CSF) - Promotes Christian Fellowship among students, encourages Christian maturity, and advocates a Christian lifestyle and the principles of Christian behavior.

Criminal Justice - Strives to get its membership involved in real life events as well as events sponsored by the club relating to the field of criminal justice

Delta Mu Sigma - Membership in this honors' society is open to all students with at least a 3.0 GPA.  The society encourages high scholastic achievement and service to Penn State DuBois and local community.

Engineering Club (inactive) - Furthers the interest and training in engineering and its various fields. 

Human Development & Family Studies Club (HDFS) - Promote awareness of the importance of the Human Development in the community, and to support communication and cohesive fellowship among students.

Information Technology (IT) Club - Promotes and discusses topics in the ever-growing information technology industry.

Occupational Therapy Club (OT) - Educates by showing the benefits and realities that this profession has to offer 

Service Above Self Club (SAS) (inactive) - Provides opportunities to build character, leadership, and interpersonal skills by participating in community and international service learning projects.

Student Government Association (SGA) - Encourages participation in co-curricular activities, supports clubs and organizations, and fosters communication between the student body, faculty, staff, and administration.

Veterans Club (inactive) - Comprised of students who have served in the U. S. Armed Forces or any other allied foreign country.  The Veterans' Club also has social members, who are sponsored by active members of the club.

The Wildlife Society - Promotes hiking, camping, canoeing, mountain climbing, and other outdoor recreational activities.

Affiliate Student Groups:

Campus Activity Board (CAB) - Works in collaboration with the Office of Student Engagement in regards to selecting, promoting, and running activities and events.

Lion Ambassadors - Collaborates with the Admissions Office with events and tours.

THON - Plans fundraisers and events to raise money for the Four Diamonds Fund at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital to help kids with pediatric cancer.

What if I'm not interested in these groups?

Each year new clubs and organizations are formed by students with different interests.  If you are interested in starting a new club, contact Brittany Stanton in the Office of Student Engagement.
